Indesign Table Cut Table Row Continue Next Page

Hi,

Your screenshot is not showing up. Here's how to post a screenshot:

Keep in mind that Word was designed primarily to put words on paper.

What happens if you print?

I am assuming that you do not see this problem in 2010.

Does it happen if you open Word in Safe mode?
https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Open-O...

Safe mode is not a way to regularly use Word, but it is a valuable diagnostic step. If your problem goes away when you use Safe mode, we can walk you through other steps that may help eliminate the problem. Please write back.

If it works in Safe mode, you may want to look at the following while waiting for more information from me or here on the forum.

Watch out for ads on the site that may advertise products frequently classified as a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Products). If you want, save a sample document with the problem on OneDrive or Dropbox and paste a link here. Remove any confidential or sensitive information first. I or someone else can take a look at it.

I hope this information helps. Please let me know if you have any more questions or require further help.

Hello,

Here are the frame grabs. The first one is in Print view. The second in Web layout. We do not print these documents. They are hosted on the company intranet and our service reps access them from there daily. In fact, since they're updated so frequently our employees do not even save copies of them.

The issue does occur when we open a word 2010 doc in word 2016, but does not happen with every doc, because that would make it too easy.

I have not tried safe mode, I will give that a try in the morning and see what happens.

I wish I could post the document in full, but I would probably lose my job. The entire document is proprietary and I'd probably get yelled at for posting these two grabs, but there's no other way to illustrate the problem, so Ill take the risk.

Thanks for taking the time to look at things.

For your first example. Select the row with #27 in column 1. Right click and choose Table Properties. On the Row tab of the Tables Properties dialog choose the Allow row to break... option.

If that corrects the problem, perform it for the reset of the problem rows in the table or select all rows of the table and make that the default setting for the table.

Did you try the suggestions made by Richard Michaels? If so, did they do what you need, or do you need more help?

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

Sadly, not that simple. That's definitely something I tried and checked again once I got your message.
Thanks.

Did you check the row height in Table Properties for being set to Exactly? It's a stretch but, another thing I would check is any Keep with Next settings on the paragraphs.

If those aren't it, I'll take a look at the document if you want to send it to me. You can email to the address in my signature line, just make sure you include a Subject referencing this thread. It it's too big to mail, then send a download link to the file in OneDrive, Dropbox, etc.
